QY CAD environments

A QY CAD environment provides a set of tabs, groups, commands, and command bars that are used to complete a specific task in the design process. Environments can be activated independently of each other. For example, there are environments for designing and detailing.

Part

Create a solid 3D part in The Part environment.

For an introduction, see the Part modeling workflow overview.

Sheet Metal

Create thin, flat parts that can be bent and cut in The Sheet Metal environment.

For an introduction, see Create a sheet metal part.

Synchronous and ordered environments

Within part and sheet metal model documents, there are sub-environments for synchronous (direct-edit) and ordered (history-based) sketching, creation, and editing. For a video introduction, see Synchronous and ordered environments.

Assembly

Combine previously created parts in The Assembly environment. You also can create multi-body parts

For an introduction, see Building assemblies.

Draft

Create detailed drawings of your models in The Draft environment.

For an introduction, see Drawing view creation
