Save a document to a non-QY CAD file type

You can save QY CAD assembly, part, sheet metal, and draft documents to non-Solid Edge formats using the Save As Translated command.

1. Choose Application menu→Save As→Save As Translated.

2. Select the folder for the new document.

   Note:

   If you are working in a managed environment the location is an unmanaged location.

3. (Optional) In the File name box, type a new name for the document.

4. From the Save as list, select a non-QY CAD file format.

5. (Optional) Click Options to define settings applicable to the file type you select, and then click OK.

6. Click Save.
