Create a document


    You can create a new document using the default document templates that are shown on the Application menu→New page. These document templates are based on the modeling standard that was selected when QY CAD was installed.

  1. On the Application menu, click New.

  2. On the New page, click the document template icon that corresponds to the type of document you want to create.

    You can create a part, sheet metal, assembly, draft, or weldment document.

    Example:

    To create a part model, click the ISO Metric Part document icon.

    A new part modeling document is opened in QY CAD.

Tip:

You can choose a different set of templates by selecting the Edit List.... link at the top of the Application menu→New page.

For example, you can choose ANSI Metric instead of ANSI Inch as your default templates.
