Faces Tab
Formats a part by setting options for the color of the part's faces.
- Diffuse

Controls the intensity and color of light that a face reflects equally in all directions when illuminated by a light source. The direction and color of a light source also affects the amount of diffuse color that emanates from a face. The maximum amount of diffuse color is reflected when the light source is perpendicular to a point on the face.
- Specular
-
Controls the intensity and color of specular reflections of a face. Both light direction and the shininess of a face can influence specular color.
- Ambient

Defines the minimum illumination of a face regardless of which lights illuminate the face.
- Emission

Controls the amount of light that appears to be generated by the face. You can use this option to make a face appear to glow.
- Copy From Edges Color

Defines the selected color by copying the active color located on the Edges tab.
- Red, Green, Blue

Defines a color using sliders that control the amount of red, green, and blue that make up the color. These controls also affect the settings for the Hue, Saturation, Intensity sliders.
- Hue, Saturation, Intensity

Defines a color using sliders that control the amount of hue, saturation, and intensity that make up the color. These controls will affect the settings for the Red, Green, Blue sliders.
- Preview

Shows you the result of your settings before you apply them.
- Preview Render Mode

Sets the rendering method to be used in the Preview box. You can preview a rendering using the Wireframe, Outline, Vector Hidden Line, or Smooth Shaded methods.
- Preview Object

Sets the object to be used in the Preview box. You can preview a rendering using a Cube, Sphere, or Tea Pot.
- Description

Displays a description of the formatting options.
