Sketch command

Use the Sketch command to create an ordered part, sheet metal, or assembly sketch. After you choose the reference plane that you want to draw on, it orients the view so that it is flat to the selected reference plane. The Line command is active for you to begin drawing a line, or you can choose a different 2D drawing command.

You can use a sketch as a profile when constructing an ordered feature. An ordered feature constructed using a sketch is associative to the sketch. For example, if you edit the length of a line in the sketch, any features using that line in their profiles will also change.
