How overriding properties affects design optimization

Physical properties are not available as a design objective or a design limit in study optimization when:

In a study of surface geometry, you change the material or the thickness using the Override Property command.
In a study of an assembly, in the Edit Material dialog box, you clear the Use material from the occurrence check box.
In a study using a sheet metal mid-surface, in the Edit Thickness dialog box, you clear the Use thickness from sheet metal check box.
A study uses the Surface mesh type or General Bodies mesh type.
The simulation geometry in an assembly study uses the default assembly material, because the material in individual parts is not defined.
