Building a family of assemblies

This tutorial introduces you to the Alternate Assemblies functionality within the QY CAD Assembly environment and covers various family of assembly techniques, such as:

• Creating new members for a family of assemblies

• Defining variables

• Excluding part occurrences

• Replacing parts

• Excluding relationships

During this exercise, you will create a family of assemblies for an assembly similar to the illustration above.

This tutorial does not demonstrate everything Alternate Assemblies can do. Its purpose is to show you how powerful and intuitive the Assembly environment is, and to get you started so you can learn more on your own.
