View command


The PMI tab→Model Views group→View command creates a 3D model view using the current display settings in the graphics window. The Model View Options dialog box is displayed.

PMI model views form the basis for model based definition (MBD), which provides a single, digital definition of design geometry and non-geometric information, such as annotations, tolerances, surface finishes, and other manufacturing data.

Note:

To edit an existing model view, select the Edit Definition command on a model view shortcut menu. Select the Options button on the command bar to reopen the Model View Options dialog box and make changes to the model view definition.
