Subassembly drawing views and parts lists


You can create a drawing view of a subassembly and place a parts list that is based solely on the subassembly. Use the From Selected Subassembly option on the Parts List command bar to produce the subassembly parts list.

Example:

From this top level assembly drawing view, you can place a new drawing view of subassembly Valve01.asm, and then place a parts list that documents the subassembly.

You can place the same parts list by selecting subassembly Valve01.asm in a drawing view of the top level assembly. This cutaway view shows the subassembly with item balloons that match the subassembly parts list.
