Replace a document in Structure Editor


  1. Open an assembly or draft document in Structure Editor.

  2. In the left pane of the Structure Editor window, select the document you want to replace.

  3. In the Action column corresponding to your selected document, choose Replace.

  4. Select or clear the Replace All check box, and then search or browse for the document you are using as the replacement.

    Tip:

    If the document you are replacing is a Family of Parts or Family of Assemblies member, you can set the option to Replace All so that all instances of the selected item are replaced.

  5. In the Open a File dialog box, select the document you want to use as the replacement for the existing document, and click Open.

    The right pane of the Structure Editor window updates to show the details of the replacement document.

  6. Click Perform Actions.
