Create Internal Component Options dialog box

Ground Components

Specifies whether the newly created internal component is grounded or not.

  • Constraints—If you leave the internal component ungrounded, you can modify its position with respect to the assembly. You can always add constraints later with the options in the Relate group on the ribbon.

  • Exploding Assemblies—If you use a ground relationship, you will not be able to use the Automatic Explode command in the Explode-Render-Animate environment to explode the part later. Instead, you can use the Explode command to explode the part manually.

Create component and stay in Assembly

Creates an empty internal component and remains in the Assembly environment.

Create component then edit in-place

Creates the new internal component and opens it in in-place edit mode, so you can continue creating new features within the context of the assembly.
