Publish family of assembly members to Teamcenter
Family of assembly members are uniquely identified in Teamcenter when they are published. Publishing the members creates individual items in Teamcenter that are identified by a unique Item ID, Revision and name. You can choose to select all members or specify individuals members to be published.

Follow the steps in Create a new family of assemblies to create a family of assemblies and define the members.

Click Edit Table

The Alternate Assemblies Table dialog box contains a column for each of the members you created.

To specify the members to be published to Teamcenter, in the Alternate Assemblies Table dialog box, do one of the following:

To select all members in the table, click the Select All Members button.

To identify specific members for selection, hold the Ctrl key and click the members in the table.

Click Publish Members
to publish the selected members to Teamcenter.
If you are prompted, save the file by clicking OK.

On the Upload dialog box, assign property values to the new family of assembly members and click Perform Actions.
The master and the selected members are saved to Teamcenter.
The first row of the Alternate Assemblies Table updates to display the Item Revision Object Name (Member Item ID/Item Revision; Version-Master Item ID) for the members that are published to Teamcenter. This is the same information that is displayed in Cache Assistant. Members with an empty cell in the first row have not been published to Teamcenter.
