Assign geometry to a virtual component
You can only assign geometry to a virtual component when a sketch window is open.

In Assembly PathFinder, select a virtual component entry.

On the shortcut menu, click Edit Definition.

In the sketch window, select the 2D geometry that you want to assign to the virtual component, then click the Accept button.

In the sketch window, define the origin and x-axis direction.

On the Edit Definition command bar, in the Publish On list, select the sketch plane on which you want the virtual component published.

You can use the options on the command bar to specify that you want to use a free space point as the origin or two keypoints to define the origin and x-axis.

The Publish On option allows you to specify which of the three base reference planes on which the virtual component is published.
