Mapping electrical component ids in PathFinder

For engineers working independently on the same design, matching the part names in PathFinder is important. Component IDs or instance names are unique identifiers in 2D applications, such as QY CAD Wiring Design.

Use the Update with Electrical Component IDs option on the Electrical Routing page to map the electrical component id to the name in PathFinder.

Select the component, and do either of the following:

• To append a component ID to the name in PathFinder, select Append.

  

• To replace the name in PathFinder with the component ID, select Replace.
