Create a new board based on the information you enter in the wizard


  1. In QY CAD, open an assembly template.

  2. Click PCB→New Board Assembly.

  3. On the New Board Assembly dialog box, enter information for the PCB assembly.

    • Project Name

    • PCB Template

    • Board Template

    • Project Location

    Click the Browse button to navigate to the appropriate template of project folder location.

  4. Under Board Options, click Create a new board.

  5. Click Next.

  6. On the New Board Assembly dialog box, define the board size and thickness, and then click Finish.

    The new board is created with the PCB related properties automatically assigned. An assembly (.asm) file and sheet metal file (.psm) containing information about the PCB data are created with the project name in the defined project location.
