Explode individual parts in an assembly

In the Assembly environment, choose Tools tab→Environs group→ERA.

Choose Home tab→Explode group→Explode

Select the part you want to explode.

On the command bar, click the Accept button.

Select the stationary part.

On the stationary part, select a face or reference plane to define the explode vector.
An arrow is displayed near the element you selected.

Position the cursor so the dynamic arrow is pointing in the direction you want, then click.
Tip:

You can use the Drag Component and Reposition commands to adjust the position of the parts along the explode vector.

You can use the Unexplode command to unexplode the assembly.
