Explode an assembly automatically


  1. Choose Tools tab→Environs group→ERA.

    This application allows you to define exploded views.

  2. Home tab→Explode group .

  3. On the Automatic Explode command bar, use the Select option to specify whether you want to explode the entire assembly, or specific subassemblies you select.

  4. On the Automatic Explode command bar, click the Explode button.

  5. To assign a name to the exploded configuration, in the Home tab→Configurations group, do the following:

    1. Select the Current Configurations list.

    2. Click New from Current Display.

    3. In the New Configuration dialog box, in the Name box, assign a configuration name.

Tip:

  • You can use the Unexplode command to unexplode the assembly.

  • For parts that were placed using a ground relationship, you can use the Explode command to explode the parts manually. Parts that are created within the context of the assembly using the Create In-Place option are placed grounded.
