Quickly search for an Item ID

In the Teamcenter-managed environment, do the following to quickly search for an item.

1. Choose Application menu→Open tab→Open command.

   

2. (Optional) Narrow the list of files to search to those of a certain type, by setting the Files of type option on the Filter Options pane.

   For example, you can select Part documents (*.par) to search only the files with the .par file name extension.

   Tip:

   To search for all QY CAD document types, set Files of type to All QY CAD documents (...).

3. In the Search pane, enter the text to search for. For example, 00026* to find Item IDs that begin with 00026.

4. Press Enter or click Perform Search .

   Documents with Item IDs matching the type you specified are displayed in the document list.

   Note:

   If you narrowed the list of files to search for Part documents (*.par), your list of documents contains only the part documents with Item IDs starting with 00026. Assembly documents (*.asm) starting with 00026 are not found.
