Rotate (3D Views) command

The Rotate command in 3D environments rotates a view freely about the view center, about a principal vector originating from the view center, about any linear edge, or about an endpoint of the active model. When you select an endpoint on the model, it becomes the origin around which the view rotates.

Note:

If the synchronous rotate operation includes a pattern along a curve, you must include the curve driving the pattern in the elements you choose to rotate.

One of the most common ways of rotating a view is to select one the principal axes, such as the X-axis, then type a value on the Rotate command bar to define the rotation angle.

You can also rotate the view about the view center by moving the mouse while pressing and holding the Shift key and the right mouse button.

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, you can also rotate the view, by holding the scroll wheel down and moving the mouse.

Note:

You can click the right mouse button to close the command.
