Save a base feature as a template


  1. Construct a base feature.

  2. On the Application menu, click the Save As tab, and then click the Save As command.

  3. In the Save As dialog box, in the Save In box, set the file location to the user template folder.

  4. Click OK to save the file.

Tip:

To create a new part model using the saved base feature, on the Application menu, click New and then select the new file as the template you want to use.
