Single region

• A region forms by creating a closed sketch.

Nested regions

• A region is created inside another region (nested region). Selecting the outermost region treats the internal region as a void or hole. Selecting both the outermost region and the internal region fills in the void.

Region on a face

• Regions are created on the face of a part body by drawing a sketch on the face.
