Automatic plane locking occurs as you pause over a face. When the plane highlights, begin sketching. Right-click to select a different plane.
Automatic sketch plane locking
Manually lock to a plane by clicking the lock symbol 
on a highlighted plane. To choose another plane, click the lock symbol (or press F3).
