Rename a layer


  1. Click the Layers tab to display all layers in the document.

  2. On the Layers tab, right-click the layer you want to rename to display the shortcut menu.

  3. On the shortcut menu, click Rename and type the new name you want.

    Note:

    Layer names are not case sensitive. They can contain 250 characters, and they can include the characters ($), (-), and (_).
