Using steady state heat transfer studies
In QY CAD Simulation, you can analyze the thermal conditions of a model at equilibrium—in a steady state—by selecting the Steady State Heat Transfer study type and applying one or more thermal loads in the Thermal loads group.
Steady state heat transfer analysis has many design validation applications.
In electrical and electronics applications, you can:
-
Evaluate electrical heating of different components.
-
Model heat sinks.
-
Determine spacing requirements between critical parts.
-
Identify recirculation areas and hot spot issues.
In automotive applications, you can:
-
Manage thermal electronic systems, electric motors, and drive systems.
-
Analyze clutch and transmission cooling.
-
Predict head lamp hot spots and melting spots.
In HVAC applications, you can:
-
Design and analyze heat exchangers.
-
Design and analyze engine cooling systems.
