Save changes to the simulation results display settings

You can save your simulation results display settings locally, so that they can be applied to other studies in the current document. You also can save your results display settings to the registry for reuse by studies in other documents.

These settings may contain such parameters as model display state, contour style, color bar style, deformation, face and edge color, and font specifications. They do not include study-dependent options set on the Home tab→Data Selection group, or the scale options set on the Color Bar tab→Scale group.

Save results display settings for use in other documents

Saving your results display settings globally means they can be applied to studies in other documents.

  • In the Simulation Results environment, choose Home tab→Settings group→Save Results Display Globally .

The settings are written to the registry for each user. They are also updated to the results display setting that is identified in the Current Named Display Settings list.

    Example:

    default,username

    Setting_4

    Tip:
    • Every time you save the display results globally, they are added to the settings in the registry. This means the registry may contain the combined display settings from studies in other documents.

    • If you need different display parameters locally but not globally, the global settings can be modified and saved locally using the Home tab→Settings group→Save Results Display Settings command .
