User tab

Displays and allows you to set property options for each symbol that you place or for a linked or embedded (OLE) object that you inserted with the Insert Object command. This provides an administrative tool for tracking property information, such as the serial number of label text, for each placement of a symbol.

Name

Defines a property name.

Type

Specifies the property type you want to define for the symbol property name. You can choose from character, number, money, or date.

Value

Specifies a value for the symbol or object. For example, you can assign a manufacturer's name, a serial number, or other descriptive information as a value.

Properties

The properties table lists all the properties currently defined for the symbol or object.
