Basic window operations
In Add to Teamcenter Interactive, you see a hierarchical view of the documents you have selected for adding to the managed environment.
The window is divided into four panes. The upper-left pane of the window displays your unmanaged documents. The upper-right pane of the window displays the Teamcenter view much like common property dialog boxes in QY CAD Embedded Client. The lower-left pane is the Progress Log and the lower-right pane is the Error Assistant pane.
The initial display of the structure of your item will show the first level files only. You can expand each level using the + to the left of the item or you can use the Expand All command on the View menu to expand all levels of the item. Additionally, you can use commands on the View menu to see previews of your unmanaged or managed documents.
The unmanaged list of documents in the upper-left pane of the windows is automatically scroll-locked with the Teamcenter managed list of documents in the upper-right pane of the window. This feature enables you to see the same section in both upper window panes.
Arranging your work space
You can arrange the Add to Teamcenter work space by:
-
Resizing the window panes.
-
Using the slider to view the desired data.
-
Fitting the individual cell size to the data.
Tooltips and messages
Tooltips are displayed as you move your cursor over a command button. A brief message describing what the command does is displayed in this area.
Messages are displayed in messages boxes during working sessions in Add to Teamcenter Interactive. Message boxes often contain warnings or errors informing you of action that needs to be taken.
Using the mouse
You can use the left mouse button to do the following:
-
Select an element by clicking it.
-
Select multiple elements.
-
Drag a selected element.
-
Select a menu or toolbar command.
In most cases, if an object is locatable and selectable, you can position the cursor over the object and click the right mouse button (right-click) to display a shortcut menu. Shortcut menus are context-sensitive. The commands on the menu depend upon your cursor location and which elements, if any, are selected.
