Concept Workspace workflow
The following is an example of a conceptual workflow for using Concept Workspace:
-
A CAD user responds to a request for a design change.
-
The CAD user identifies an existing part or assembly (regardless of status) as a potential starting point for the new design.
-
The CAD user creates a Concept Workspace to make conceptual changes to the existing design, and evaluates any design criteria.
-
The conceptual changes are either accepted, in which case the design is committed to Teamcenter, or the changes are rejected and the Concept Workspace is cleared.
Throughout this workflow, the Concept Assistant is available to compare what is being changed to what is in Teamcenter. The Concept Assistant is a companion to PathFinder that works as a dashboard for interacting with your conceptual design. It simplifies the display to show new and modified components and gives you access to commands like Compare Models, Revert, and Clone/Push that specify how the components are committed to Teamcenter.
