Search for broken links

You can use the Broken Links command to search for broken links within a document or all documents within selected folders, including subfolders. You can search for documents anywhere on your network, including a managed library. The command creates a .txt file that contains the names and locations of files with broken links. You can use this list to repair the broken links.

For optimum performance, managed queries are limited to 20 documents per document library and 30 document libraries. The limit can be modified by editing registry keys NUM_DOCS_PER_QUERY and NUM_DOCLIBS_PER_QUERY. When you open a managed document, these registry keys are generated automatically in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\UDS\Solid Edge\Version 222\DEBUG.

    Note:

This command is very helpful in preparing a QY CAD document set before adding it to a library.

Because you can use the Broken Links command to process a large set of documents, we recommend that you run it as a batch process during off hours.
