Welcome to Design Manager

Document relationship management is a complex information management problem facing businesses and industries. As more information is being shared and reused between documents, tracking revisions of documents and the links they contain becomes increasingly difficult. Making a new revision of an existing document while maintaining the original version is a part of every document's life cycle. When you select a document for revision, Design Manager displays a hierarchy of the related documents that may or may not need to be revised as well. You can use Design Manager with QY CAD data management as well as with any of the product data management (PDM) clients.

You can use Design Manager to:

• Save documents under a new name.

• Move documents to locations you specify.

• Revise documents.

• Apply document statuses.

• Update the revision and document numbers you specify.

• Update or maintain references in the document hierarchy.

• Manage your custom file properties.

• Copy a row or rows of data to the clipboard for printing.

• Preview a document.
