Assign a Teamcenter project to an item in Structure Editor


You can assign a project to a Teamcenter-managed item when you work in Structure Editor. For example:

  1. With a document open in Structure Editor, double-click the Action column and select Save As.

  2. Assign the mandatory properties (Item ID, Revision, Item Name) by clicking Assign All or by entering the values.

  3. Double-click the Project ID cell to display the Select Projects dialog box.

    Note:

    Double-clicking the Project cell displays Teamcenter projects you have privileges to access. If projects are not defined in Teamcenter, the Projects column does not display.

  4. From the Projects listed in the dialog box, you can:

    • Select the check box next to the project to associate it with the selected document.

    • Remove the project assignment by clearing the check box.

  5. Use the following table to determine which projects are assigned to the selected documents.

    All selected objects are assigned to the project.

    Some of the selected objects are assigned to the available projects.

  6. Click OK to return to Structure Editor.

  7. Click Perform Action to create the item in Teamcenter with the properties and project you assigned.
