Save As Selected command

Saves a copy of selected files within a QY CAD structure of any file type to a new item number, revision, and item name. You can use this command, for example, when you want to copy some, but not all of, the files that comprise the assembly structure.

Setting an action of Save As Selected on one occurrence of a file within the structure affects only that one occurrence of the item within the structure. Links within the structure are updated to point to the new filename. Since the file is being copied, it is not checked out of the Teamcenter database.

When you select a file for the Save As Selected command, the action for its parent document is set to Update. This action updates the link to point to the new file if the parent is not selected for Save As Selected. If you select the parent document, the link is updated as part of the Save As Selected action, and the original document is not modified.

When the document is displayed in the Structure Editor window, the Item Number, Revision, and Item Name are blank since new values need to be assigned.
