Create a new row in an existing assembly

To create a new row in Structure Editor, you must have a single row with data selected, and the item revision cannot contain a part or sheet metal document.

  1. Select a row in the source pane (left pane).

    Note:

Selecting multiples rows is not allowed when you are creating new rows in Structure Editor.

  2. On the command bar, click New .

A row is inserted into the source and target panes for the new item revision. All cells are blank in the source pane except for the Action cell, which is set to New. The row you selected has an action of Update.

    Note:

If the selected row is used in multiple places within the structure, the new row is created in each occurrence of the selected row.

  3. Assign the property data for the cells in the target pane.

You can use the shortcut command Assign All or you can assign the values manually.

  4. Click Perform Actions to add the new row.
