Structure Editor overview

Document relationship management is a complex information management problem facing businesses and industries. As more information is being shared and reused between documents, tracking revisions of documents and the links they contain becomes increasingly difficult.

Copying or making a new revision of an existing object while maintaining the original version is a part of the life cycle of every document. When you select an object for copying or revising, Structure Editor displays a hierarchy of the related structures that may or may not need to be acted upon. Structure Editor lets you do such tasks as:

• Copy QY CAD assembly structures to new documents stored in new Teamcenter items.

• Revise partial or whole assembly structures.

• Update or maintain references in the document hierarchy.

• Show Teamcenter properties.

• Preview an assembly.

• Print the assembly structure.
