Export Options for IFC (.ifc) dialog box
Controls how IFC saves QY CAD documents. QY CAD supports IFC2X3 and IFC4 formats.
IFC2X3 file format has been around for several years. This file format supports simple projected or swept features along with meshed data, but does not support BREP data or curve data.
IFC4 format is the most recent release. The format supports simple projected or swept features, meshed data, and BREP data.
Before exporting the IFC4 format, ensure that it is supported by the target system.
- Export
-
Specifies the types of construction geometry you want to export.
- Export solids (constructions)
-
Export any construction geometry that exists as solid bodies.
- Export sheets (constructions)
-
Export any construction geometry that exists as sheet bodies.
- Export wires (constructions) and generals
-
Export any construction geometry that exists as wire bodies.
Note:Because IFC2X3 file format does not support curve data, this option is not available if you set the IFC version to IFC2X3.
- Export displayed only
-
Export only the active model and construction geometry that is visible in the part or assembly.
- Part and Assembly Simplification
-
Specifies that, when available, a simplified body, instead of the design body, is used when creating the IFC document.
- Part simplification
- Use Current Configuration
Uses the current configuration to create the IFC document.
All SimplifiedChecks each part and uses the simplified body, if available, to create the IFC document.
All DesignedChecks each part and uses the design body, if available, to create the IFC file.
- Assembly simplification
- Use Current Configuration
Uses the current assembly configuration to create the IFC document.
Top Level SimplificationChecks the top level of the assembly and uses the simplified body, if available, to create the IFC document.
All SimplifiedChecks each sub-assembly found in the assembly and uses the simplified body, if available, to create the JT document.
All DesignedChecks each part found in the assembly and uses the design body, if available, to create the IFC file.
