2D view

A drawing view consisting of two-dimensional elements. A 2D view is not associative to a 3D model.

You can convert a part view to a 2D view using the Convert To 2D View command on the shortcut menu.

You also can create a 2D view from 2D geometry on the 2D Model sheet using the 2D Model (View) command in the Drawing Views group on the ribbon.
