Saving commonly used hole parameters

Use the Saved Settings options on the Hole Options dialog box to save commonly used hole parameters to an external file, named Custom.xml. You can then use the Saved Settings list on the Hole Options dialog box or the Hole command bar to select a saved setting later in any QY CAD document where you can construct hole features.

Similar to the Holes database location setting, you can use the File Locations tab on the Options dialog box to specify a folder for the Custom.xml file.

When you specify a machine on the network for the Holes database folder and the Custom.xml file, all users can use the same parameters for the hole features they construct, which makes it easier to enforce company and industry standards.

Transfer

For files created prior to Version 16: If the settings were saved in the document, the Holes Options dialog box displays a Transfer button. The Saved settings list is populated with both the Custom.xml settings and the saved document settings. The saved document settings are listed under the Document Settings header and the Custom.xml settings are listed under the Global Settings header. Use the Transfer button to move a saved Document Setting to the Custom.xml settings.

To transfer a document saved setting, select a document setting in the list, and then click the Transfer button.
