Construct a parting surface

Choose Surfacing tab→Surfacing group→Split list→Parting Surface

Select a planar face or reference plane that is parallel to the direction you want the parting surface.

Select a curve.

Type the surface width you want, then position the cursor in the direction that you want the parting surface and click.

Click Finish.
Tip:
The curve you select can be open or closed. When selecting more than one curve, the curves must be end-point connected.
