Helical command bar

Displays the Helix Parameters dialog box so you can specify the parameters for the helix feature.

Defines the cross section and helix axis for the helix. The cross section may be parallel or perpendicular to the axis of revolution.

Clears the selection.

Accepts the selection.

Defines the depth of the feature or the distance to extend the profile to construct the feature. The extent options are: Finite Extent and From/To Extent.

From/To Extent

Sets the feature extent so that the profile is projected from a sketch plane to another specified face or surface.

Finite Extent

When constructing a helix, the finite extent is determined by the Helix Method you choose. For example, when you set the Axis Length and Pitch method, the helix extent is the length of the helix axis you defined earlier.

To/From

Specifies the To and From surfaces for a From/To extent.

Helix Method

Specifies the method used to define the helix parameters.
