Web Network command bar

Sets the method of selecting a sketch element.

• Single—Select one or more individual elements.

• Chain—Select an endpoint connected set of elements by selecting one of the elements in the chain.

Accepts the selection.

Clears the selection.

Does not extend the sketch elements to intersect the part.

Option on—Sets the web network extent so that the sketch elements are projected a specified distance to either side of the profile plane. (The web network does not project all the way to the existing faces on the part.) Type the distance in the value edit box.

Option off—Extends the faces on the web network that are perpendicular to the sketch plane to the existing faces on the part.

Adds draft to the faces of the web feature.

Accepts the selection.

Clears the selection.

Sketch Step

Specifies the sketch you want to use.

Direction Step

Allows you to specify which side of the profile plane to which you want to construct the web network.

Treatment Step

Defines the draft options you want.

Finish/Cancel

This button changes function as you move through the feature construction process. The Finish button constructs the feature using input provided in the other steps. Once you construct the feature, you can edit it by re-selecting the appropriate step on the command bar. The Cancel button discards any input and exits the command.

Select

Deselect (x)

Clears the selection.

Accept (check mark)

Accepts the selection.

Extend Profile

Extends the ends of the profile until they intersect the part.

Note:

This option is disabled when web network is the base feature.

No Extend

Does not extend the ends of the profile.

This option is disabled when web network is the base feature.

Extend To Next

Extends the faces on the web network that are perpendicular to the profile plane to the existing faces on the part.

Note:

This option is disabled when web network is the base feature.

Finite Depth

Sets the web network extent so that the profile is projected a specified distance to either side of the profile plane. (The web network is not projected all the way to the existing faces on the part.) Type the distance in the Depth box.

Thickness

Sets the web thickness.

Depth

Sets the web depth when the Finite Depth option is set.

Treatment Options

Displays the Treatment Options dialog box so you can specify whether you are prompted for treatment parameters while you are constructing the feature. When you specify that you want to be prompted for treatment parameters, the Treatment Step on the command bar is activated so you can specify the draft angle or crowning options you want.

Angle

Sets the draft angle you want.

Flip 1

Flips the draft angle direction. To see how the draft is applied, specify the draft angle you want, and then click the Preview button. If the draft angle is applied in the correct direction, click Finish. If the draft angle is applied in the wrong direction, click the Treatment Step button, and then click the Flip button.
