Project a curve onto a surface along surface normals


  1. Choose Surfacing tab→Surfaces group→Project Curve .

  2. On the Project Curve command bar, click the Project Curve Options button.

  3. On the Project Curve Options Dialog Box, click the Normal to Selected Surface option.

  4. Click the curve or point you want to project onto a surface and then click the Accept (check mark) button.

  5. Click the surface onto which you want to project the curve and then click the Accept (check mark) button.

  6. Finish the feature.

Tip:

  • You can also use the Project Curve command to project a point onto a surface.

  • You can use the command bar to specify that you want to project a single element, a chain of elements, a point, or an entire sketch.
