Calculate the physical properties for a part
You can calculate the physical properties of parts and weldments that are up-to-date.
Physical properties cannot be calculated for parts with features that have not recalculated correctly.
To calculate the physical properties of a part:
-
Choose Inspect tab→Properties list→Physical Properties.
-
On the Physical Properties dialog box, type the positive density value you want.
-
On the Physical Properties dialog box, click the Update button.

You can create material-specific template files by defining the density and material in the files you use as templates.
-
Changes made to a part make its physical properties out-of-date.
-
When physical properties are out-of-date, physical property symbols change color.
-
The physical properties of a part or a weldment are also updated when you save the part.

You can save the physical properties data to an ASCII document with the Save As button on the Physical Properties dialog box.
