Area Properties page (Info dialog box)

Displays the global area properties for the closed boundary.

Displays the total area of all selected boundaries in the current document units.

Displays the perimeter of the area, including external and internal loops.

Displays the coordinates for the center of area with respect to the drawing view coordinate system.

• X: x coordinate

• Y: y coordinate

Displays the six principal mass moments of inertia with respect to the global origin and global axes.

• Ixx: Moment of inertia of mass about x axis

• Ixy: Product of inertia of mass with respect to x and y axes

• Iyy: Moment of inertia of mass about y axis

Displays the principal area properties for the closed boundary.

Displays the angle between the Global Mass Moments of Inertia and the Principal Moments of Inertia.

Displays the direction cosines of the principal axes with respect to the view coordinate system.

• X: x axis vector

• Y: y axis vector

Displays the principal moments of inertia with respect to the principal axes.

• Ipxx: Moment of inertia with respect to the Principal Moment X-Axis.

• Ipyy: Moment of inertia with respect to the Principal Moment Y-Axis.

Applies a user-defined scale value, or displays the default sheet scale of 1:1.

If model geometry is selected to create a persistent area object, then the drawing view scale is displayed but cannot be changed. The inverse of the scale is used to calculate the returned values.

For the Fill and Coordinate System pages, displays a preview of the area based on the current properties. This option does not apply to the Area Properties page.

Copies the data on the Area Properties page to the Clipboard so that you can paste the data into a preferred text editor or spreadsheet.
