Angular Coordinate Dimension command

The Angular Coordinate Dimension command places a dimension that measures the angle between a center point, an axis, and a measurement point. The computed value is the angle between the axis and a line from the measurement point to the center point. All dimensions in the group use the same center point and axis.

Example:

Angular coordinate dimension orientation

When placing an angular coordinate dimension, you can change the orientation of the dimension measurement lines using the following Orientation options on the Dimension command bar.

Use this Orientation option

To place

Horizontal/Vertical

Dimensions that are parallel or perpendicular to the horizontal edge of the drawing sheet or reference plane.

By 2 Points

Dimensions that are parallel or perpendicular to the theoretical line between the two points you are dimensioning.
