Set the dimension display type


Dimension types control how the dimension displays. You can set the dimension type before or after you place a dimension.

To set or change a dimension type, do the following:

  1. On the command bar, click Dimension Type.

  2. Select one of the following Dimension Type options:

    Nominal

    Unit Tolerance

    Alpha Tolerance

    Class

    Limit

    Basic

    Reference

    Feature Callout

    Note:

    The Feature Callout option causes the dimension to reference the predefined property text strings on the Feature Callout page of the Modify Dimension Style dialog box. These, in turn, reference the predefined information on the Smart Depth page. The hole, slot, or thread geometry that you select when you place the dimension determines which string is used to extract information.
