Mirror components in an assembly
-
Choose Home tab→Pattern group→Mirror Components
.
-
In the graphics window or PathFinder, select the components which you want to mirror, then click the Accept button.
-
In the graphics window, select an existing assembly reference plane about which you want to mirror components.
-
On the Mirror Components dialog box, set the mirror options you want, then click OK.
-
On the command bar, click Finish.
Note:For QY CAD data management users who selected the option Automatically name files via Document Number and Revision, the system displays a dialog box where you can assign common properties, such as document number and revision number, as explained in Create documents with unique properties.
-
You can use the Ground All Parts option on the Mirror Components dialog box to specify whether you want a ground relationship applied to the mirrored components. When you clear this option, the components are left unconstrained.
-
When the Action column is set to Mirror on the Mirror Components dialog box, a new document is created that contains an associative mirrored copy of the original geometry.
-
When the Action column is set to Rotate on the Mirror Components dialog box, a new occurrence of the original document is placed in the assembly.
-
When you mirror a part that contains assembly features, you can specify whether the part is mirrored along with its assembly features as a non-modifiable body, or that the part is mirrored without its assembly features, and remains associative to its parent part. When you mirror a part as a non-modifiable body, you can use the Remove Override Body command to remove the assembly feature geometry from the part and make it an associative mirrored copy of the parent part.
