Create A Family Of Assemblies

Specifies that you want to create a family of assemblies.

Create Alternate Positions Of The Assembly

Specifies that you want to create alternate positions of the assembly.

Note:

When you create a new family of assemblies, you must specify whether the assembly will be converted to (A) a family of assemblies or (B) an assembly containing alternate positions. After the assembly is converted, it cannot be changed from (A) to (B) or from (B) to (A).

Members

Defines the names of the first two members of the alternate assembly.

Name Current Member: Defines the name of the first member. The first member cannot be deleted later. It may be helpful to name the first member Default, or something similar so that later you will know that this member cannot be deleted.
Name New Member: Defines the name of the second member. The second and subsequent members can be deleted later.
