Create Part In-Place command
The Create Part In-Place command can be used to create a new part or subassembly within the context of an assembly, or simply to generate a series of model documents that are ready for someone else to work in. The Create Part In-Place command bar leads you through the steps of creating the part in place. You can use the options on the Create Part In-Place Options dialog box to choose options about the document location, the origin, a material, whether to open the document upon creation and whether it is grounded.
When replacing a part with a new part or with a copy, if you are a QY CAD data management user and you selected the option Automatically name files via Document Number and Revision, the system displays a dialog box where you can assign common properties, such as document number and revision number, as explained in Create documents with unique properties. If you also selected the option Automatically revise or copy drawings that use the selected 3D document, QY CAD automatically copies and revises drawings that use the selected 3D document. If there are multiple drafts, the system adds an increment ID between the document number and revision number. For example, test1-1.dft, test1-01-1.dft, test1-02-1.dft, and so on.
